This fine motor activity is one Judah is slowly growing more patient with. It's definitely on the difficult side, but I'm learning myself to give him the space and independence to master it. Straws and empty thread spools, then we will use pipe cleaners once he's mastered the straws. #montessoriathome #mostlymontessori #itsalljustPLAY
Another indoor obstacle course...this time a bit more of a challenge! I shared it on snapchat so the text isn't always shown. Here are the 6 steps:
1- stack books from largest to smallest
2- put together train track pieces 3- put 3 balls in a bowl
4- unzip my boot
5- put 4 fruits in a bowl
6- say woooo at the top of the stairs After 2 run throughs, he knew exactly what to do. And another 1-2, he started resetting it all. So I'm just an observer. 😊
It's chilly outside. I'm too tired today to get dressed and go to the park. But this kid has Energy with a capital E. Trying to wear him out a little indoors! Here's a quick obstacle course that he likes. It's not enough of a challenge. I'm going to add something tricky— just not sure what. 😬😊 #obstaclecourse
Wooden dowels + PVC pipes = this really cool little size matching game!
Idea from @nickav25. This was a nap time project. I got the materials from the hardware store and put it all together while Alexander was asleep. Supposed to be a Christmas gift, but I'm just going to give it to him now. 😬❤️

NEW BLOG POST!
I redid all the shelves. More practical life stuff and some number stuff. Basically I focused on what he's been into recently. ❤️

Ultimate puzzle matching! Basically I took 3 easy (for him) puzzles, dumped all the pieces in a box, and set it up. Whereas it would normally take 1-2 minutes per puzzle if they were separate (so 3-6 minutes total) it's taking nearly twice that long when they're together. ❤️ Idea is from the wonderful Susie at @busytoddler !
